THE CIRCLE

An immersive adaptation of Dave Egger's NY Times best selling novel...

Serving as San Jose State University's first large-scale theatrical installation, "The Circle" invited audience members to take on the role of a new-hire at Silicon Valley's hottest new fictional social media comedy. Transforming the entirety of the Drama Building on campus, audience members were instructed to download a mobile app upon entering, then to freely explore the building around them. Using iBeacons hidden around the space and upon the actors, each audience member's profile cataloged their actions and reacted to their choices - inviting them to custom narratives that would change depending on their choices.
